From April 26 to October 6, the Neues Museum Nürnberg is showing the exhibition "Memory Movers" in cooperation with the Institut für Moderne Kunst Nürnberg: The artist duo Böhler & Orendt address the topic of preserving memory in archives in an immersive multimedia environment. The documenta archiv is one of 50 archives participating with loans from its own holdings.

On February 21, 2024, we presented the volume "Exhibition Politics" as a new publication in the publication series. The video recording of the evening event with a keynote speech by Alexia Pooth and a subsequent discussion with the art critic Eduard Beaucamp is now online.

Since March 19, 1999, the city of Kassel has been officially named "documenta City". To mark the occasion, free guided tours of the outdoor documenta artworks in Kassel's urban space are offered.

The arrangement of the letters and words in a row, the regular structure of their repetition, but also the breaking of the grid and the variation characterize Ruth Wolf-Rehfeldt's work. The artist, who was exhibited at documenta 14, died on February 26, 2024.

The painter, filmmaker, installation artist and sculptor Karl Horst Hödicke has died. He was represented at documenta 6 in 1967 with a series of drawings.

The photographer Monika Nikolic died a few days ago. She had been a constant companion of the Kassel documenta since the early 1980s.

From 30 November to 2 December 2023, the conference "IN | OUT — Canonization Processes of Modern Art and the First documenta" took place at the Fridericianum. The complete video recording of the opening event is now online!
